We wanted to eat a pizza with my nephew Valentin and decided to go back to Don Giovanni in Hell’s Kitchen. The last time we went there was last December and had some good pizza, so, why not going back? The place was not crowded and, this time, the weather permitting, we decided to eat outside.

We started our meal with some mozzarella sticks that were quite good and always a good appetizer to start a meal.

We then ordered two large pizza. The first one was the Quattro formaggi, made with mozzarella, ricotta, Gorgonzola and Swiss cheese. If you love cheese, this is for you, because for sure there was a lot of it, especially the Gorgonzola that came through and gave a delicious taste to the pizza.

The second one was the Margherita with meatballs. When we went there the first time, we had it without any toppings and really liked it. So, we decided to add one single topping: their meatballs. The pizza itself was quite good, but the meatballs were unfortunately over cooked and dry.

It was overall good, but might not be the best pizza in New York if compared to Luzzo’s, Kesté or Grimaldi’s, but still quite good and a place to know if you are in the area.

Enjoy (I did)!
