Located on the second floor of the Cyber Hub in Gurgaon, Soi 7 is a pub and brewery that serves Asian fare. Yes, it is a brewery and you can see the beer fermenters from the dining room that definitely have a nice pub feel, as well as a rooftop where the most surprising part is the boxing ring, not used for the purpose of kicking the bottom of the customers who try to leave without paying, but as entertainment.

I admit that at first I was set to have a beer, each of the four proposed having a boxing kick name like the cobra punch or the uppercut. They gave us a tasting and I was not that thrilled, the beers being very light. So, I switched to an old fashioned, my go to cocktail when dining out.

Food wise, they have a large menu with a wide selection of vegetarian dishes.. As we were a group of people, we decided to try several starters. Here is what I tried:
Bulgogi wings, single bone grilled wings marinated with chili paste, garlic, black bean and sesame oil:

Slow fried chicken, served with sweet chili and ginger sauce:

Spicy Mongolian chicken (not so spicy): diced chicken tossed with soy sauce, dry chili with peppers and onions.

Singaporean chili prawn (my favorite): crispy fried prawns tossed with chili, sambal sauce and coconut.

It was overall very good: Soi 7 is a great place to enjoy drinks with some good food, perfect for sharing and the kind you will want to have with a beer or cocktail.
